Jason served as the Art Director for Berkeley Repertory Theatre from 1999–2005, as well as the interim Communications Director in the fall of 2004. During his tenure, he developed and implemented a new visual identity for this nationally renowned Tony Award-winning theater company. In March of 2005, he opened the doors of Basic 8 Creative: A Design and Communications studio, serving both the San Francisco and New York markets.
